U.S. President Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump have said they will hold a debate on June 27, bringing their first live televised standoff for the 2024 campaign ahead of expectations.playtoearncryptogamesmobileappFor a few months. Biden posted on X on Wednesday thatplaytoearncryptogamesmobileappHe "received and accepted" an invitation from CNN to debate Trump. Trump's campaign later said he also agreed to participate. CNN said in a statement that the event will be held at 9 p.m. New York time in its studio in Atlanta.

The decision removes uncertainty about whether Biden and Trump will face off before the November election. Televised debates have become a regular feature of the U.S. presidential campaign, but Biden and Trump have previously hesitated about the timing and terms set by the non-partisan Presidential Debate Committee. The committee has been in charge of debate since 1988.
Biden's campaign issued a letter to the committee early Wednesday saying he would hold two debates with Trump starting in late June, but would not participate in the debates originally scheduled for mid-September and early October, as approved by the committee.
Biden's campaign chairman Jen O'Malley Dillon wrote in the letter that the previously scheduled debate was too late, when many states had already begun early voting.
"Donald Trump lost to me in two debates in 2020. He has not participated in a debate since then. Now he acts as if he wants to argue with me again. Well, let me have fun, man,"Biden said in a video posted on social media.
The open letter proposed holding the debate in June and September in response to Trump's challenge to debate "anytime, anywhere." Biden's campaign also expressed its desire for the debate to be hosted by news organizations and held in a television studio, rather than in front of a live audience, as in recent debates.
Trump on Wednesday agreed to Biden's proposed time frame but opposed other Biden proposed rules and said he wanted to debate in front of a large crowd.
"I am ready and willing to debate with 'Liar Joe' in June and September at the proposed time, and I strongly recommend holding more than two debates, in a very large venue for stimulation," the former president said in a post on Truth Social after the release of the letter.
